A prominent thank you to all the club members who traveled to represent BSARC at the annual RARSfest / Raleigh Hamfest this past weekend! Flea market networking and technical forums were outstanding.

🏖️ Upcoming Event: Bald Head Island Activation

Get your portable vertical antenna wires, battery boxes, and field rigs configured!

• Activation Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026
• Operations: The club will be setting up portable field gear layouts to activate regional grid coordinates. Monitor our digital reflector channels for exact simplex tracking and HF frequency updates as weather patterns solidify.

📡 Weekly Local Radio Net Alignments

Our recurring localized radio networks remain fully configured for your operational testing:

• 🎙️ The Shrimp Net: Every Monday morning at 8:30 AM via the 147.315 MHz machine (+600 offset, Tone 118.8 Hz).
• 🛡️ Brunswick County ARES Net: Every Monday evening at 7:00 PM using the same 147.315 MHz repeater (+600 offset, Tone 118.8 Hz).

• When: Wednesday (April 8) & Saturday (April 11) Morning starting at 8:00 AM
• Checkpoint Venue: Tee-Time Cafe — 126 Holden Beach Road, Shallotte, NC
• Routing Coordinates: Located roughly 650 feet (1/8 mile) past the Holden Beach Road & Main Street traffic light on your right-hand side when moving out from the Walmart complex entrance.
