💼 Urgent Notice: Club Treasurer Position Volunteer Needed

A volunteer is needed to step into the vital role of Club Treasurer, as Ephraim Botnick (WQ4N) will be stepping away at the completion of his current elected term.

This is an exceptional and rewarding opportunity to serve your fellow amateurs. A comprehensive training and hands-on operational turnover will be provided to ensure an absolute smooth transition for the newcomer.

⚠️ Organizational Operations Notice: Per our foundational corporate documents, the Treasurer is one of the three (3) mandatory core executive positions strictly required to sustain continual legal operations. If you have a desire to help look after the club’s financial logging, please contact President Mark Sergent (KA4EVR) or any board member.

Come out and support the BSARC public service and emergency communications display booth!

• Where: Brunswick County Government Complex — Bolivia, NC
• Mission: Demonstrating ham radio’s volunteer capabilities to county residents and public safety coordinators ahead of hurricane season.

Our recurring local radio nets remain fully active. Join us to test your rigs, portable options, and signal coverage layouts:

• 🎙️ The Shrimp Net: Every Monday morning at 8:30 AM via the 147.315 MHz machine (+600 offset, Tone 118.8 Hz).
• 🛡️ Brunswick County ARES Net: Every Monday evening at 7:00 PM using the same 147.315 MHz repeater (+600 offset, Tone 118.8 Hz).
• 🏠 AUXCOM / ARES Operations Meeting: Bi-monthly at 5:00 PM at the BEMC Building in Supply, NC, preceding the main meeting.

Don’t forget to configure your radio wire antennas for the inaugural experimental monthly HF net coming up on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, coordinated on behalf of Gary Quinn (NC4S):

• When: Every 3rd Wednesday of the Month (May 21, 2026)
• Time: 8:00 PM EST
• Frequency Target: 3.725 MHz on the 80-meter band
