📡 Weekly Local Radio Net Alignments

Our persistent radio networks remain fully configured for your local check-ins:

• 🎙️ The Shrimp Net: Every Monday morning at 8:30 AM via the 147.315 MHz machine (+600 offset, Tone 118.8 Hz).
• 🛡️ Brunswick County ARES Net: Every Monday evening at 7:00 PM using the same 147.315 MHz repeater (+600 offset, Tone 118.8 Hz).
• 🏠 AUXCOM / ARES Operations Meeting: Bi-monthly at 5:00 PM at the BEMC Headquarters Building in Supply, NC. This meeting proceeds directly ahead of the business meeting on months when our main club gather shifts to the Supply facility.

📻 New Experimental Monthly HF SSB Net

You are cordially invited to join an experimental high-frequency operational pipeline coordinated by Gary Quinn (NC4S) designed to gauge community traffic interest and sharpen local propagation tracking.

• When: Every 3rd Wednesday of the Month (Inaugural session tonight, May 21, 2026)
• Time: 8:00 PM EST
• Frequency Target: 3.725 MHz on the 80-meter band

🍳 Social Breakfast & Coffee Gatherings

We hold informal breakfast assemblies twice a week! Come catch up on technical projects, logbooks, or swap station hardware notes.

• Wednesday Breakfast: May 27, 2026 — Starts at 8:00 AM
• Saturday Breakfast: May 30, 2026 — Starts at 8:00 AM
• Location: Tee-Time Cafe, 126 Holden Beach Road, Shallotte, NC.

📍 Directions Help: Holden Beach Road intersects Main Street (Business 17) right at the entrance traffic signal for Walmart. Turning away from the Walmart center, the Tee-Time Cafe sits prominently on your right-hand side about 650 feet (roughly 1/8 mile) down the stretch.

📋 Upcoming BSARC Examination & Testing Session

Ready for a license upgrade? Walk-ins are accepted, but an early RSVP helps our testing committee organize computers.

• Next Session Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 9:30 AM
• Examination Venue: Calabash EMS Building (9031 Beach Drive SW, Calabash, NC 28467)
• Technical Protocol: All testing is fully electronic and administered using EXAM TOOLS. Bring an internet-capable tablet or laptop.
