There are several ways to renew your license. As you approach your renewal date, you will most likely receive an offer from one or more service agencies to renew your license for a $ fee (W5YI $8.00 in 2016). These are easy, hoverver, you can do it yourself for the cost of a 1st class stamp, Or better yet, use the online filing system, it's simple and free.

When to Renew:

1. You cannot renue your license until 90 days or less before your license expires.
2. If your license expires, you have a 2 year grace period to renew.

How to Renew:

Oneline FCC ULS System (FREE - no postage or fees):

1. Go to the FCC ULS website at FCC ULS Online Filing. Try this first.
2. If you have problems, just use one of the (Paper Forms).

If You Are an ARRL Member:

1. Use NCVEC Quick Form 605. Bring this form to an ARRL VE session or mail directly to the ARRL VEC address:

If You Are Not an ARRL Member:

1. Use NCVEC 605 Main Form. Send this form to:

FCC, 1270 Fairfield Road,
Gettysburg PA 17325-7245.
